Yeah, I’m gonna be honest. I’m not the biggest Inuyasha fanboy out there. I’ll wait a few minutes for you to gasp dramatically. Done? Okay. While its historical aspect in the anime world can’t be denied, and for many, Inuyasha represents their introduction into the colorful world of Japanese animation, to me, Inuyasha went on for too long, relying on the same gimmicks and stories to push the narrative along. Like, how many times do we need to see Naraku laugh evilly or hear about his evil schemes? Do we really need to see Kikyo again? I thought this chick was supposed to be dead? And do we truly need to be reminded that Kagome has a very toxic control over Inuyasha with the necklace? All said, I do respect the impact Inuyasha has on the anime community, and even with its flaws, Inuyasha does enough right to earn a spot here. Now, with regards to the sequel series…yeah, that foolishness can go kick rocks.
