I watched My Hero Academia when I was 16. I felt like I was 10 watching action shows on Cartoon Network again.
My Hero Academia is about a world where everyone is born with superpowers called "quirks". Well, not everyone, as our main character Izuku Midoriya finds out at a young age. However one day, he gets the attention of his idol All Might, the world's greatest superhero. He sees something in Izuku and helps to train him to become a hero.
One thing I will always give My Hero Academia over other modern shonen is that it's never boring. The large cast of characters are all interesting and exciting to see, not to mention well-designed. It's rare to not be able to tell two characters apart. My Hero Academia earns its status as one of the defining shonen anime of the 2010s.
