I don't talk about Cross Game the way that I talk about most anime. It's not a particularly exciting premise, it's basically just "high schoolers playing baseball". If I were to continue describing the show, you would think it sounds boring. Cross Game for me is all about the feeling. It is an antithesis to "hype moments and aura". Its vibes are those of neorealism. These all feel like real people that you could meet and talk with in your day to day life.

The power of Cross Game is that you always just "get" how everyone is feeling. You understand what's going on through everyone's heads. If the things that happen in this show happened to you, you'd probably do the same things. The characters are all likable people that you want to see what happens to them. Cross Game is an overlooked gem. Believe me when I say it's one of the best anime I've ever seen.
