Eden of the East is not just a show; it’s an experience. The story is smart and quick, the characters are interesting and engaging, the artwork is as close to realistic as you can get, the music is award-worthy, and the acting on both sides of the Pacific is worthy of praise. While the story does require that you watch two extra movies to get any kind of resolution, the whole of Eden of the East is a very enjoyable experience that I would recommend to anyone. Also, can we please talk about “Reveal the World” by Brenda Vaughn, the Soul of Japan? This was the first time I’ve ever heard an African American gospel song used in an anime, and I absolutely loved it!
