Do you like One Piece?
A man is pointing a gun at you. He's killed your entire family. He's probably going to kill you too. He might do something worse before he does. Even if you make it out of here alive, you're scarred for life. But all he wants to do is talk about One Piece. This is probably the most famous moment in one of the best action anime I've ever seen.
Considering how dark Inuyashiki gets, its premise is rather silly. Two strangers are accidently killed by ALIENS who then replace their bodies with cyborg replicas. The title character Ichirou Inuyashiki, who's 58 but looks 88, wants to use his newfound abilities for good. He wants to do his best to save people. Hiro Shishigami, on the other hand, wants to see how far these powers can benefit himself.
Inuyashiki is an anime that truly keeps you on your toes. Any time you think the series couldn't possibly get crazier, don't you worry because Hiroya Oku's got at least one more card up his sleeve. Inuyashiki is a front to back adrenaline rush. A strong recommendation.

The fact that this show was locked behind Amazon Prime Video’s large, monolithic paywall is a crime. A downright crime. Thankfully, Crunchyroll got the license for it, so more can witness the absolute brilliance of this show. Inuyashiki is one of those amazing shows that come along and holds your attention from beginning to end. The duality of Ichiro and Hiro as they use their new found powers for different means is so enthralling to watch. And can we please…PLEASE talk about that OP? “My Hero” by Man With A Mission is a certified BOP. I can’t count the many times I’ve driven down the road in my Jeep with this blasting from the speakers. It just gets you hype for the workday ahead.
